A Public/Private Partnership

The Boise WaterShed Environmental Education Center, located at the West Boise Wastewater Treatment Plant, promotes water stewardship through interactive, technology-based exhibits and hands-on programs.  Boise WaterShed Exhibits (BWE) and the City of Boise collaborate on this innovative education center through a unique public-private partnership. BWE is the non-profit organization that is responsible for exhibit funding and development. The City manages the facility and staff.  Together, we have reached over 170,000 people with the message of water preservation.

Now our partnership has taken water education to the next level with the construction of the Boise WaterShed River Campus, a beautiful series of outdoor exhibits modeling our watershed. In addition we are upgrading the software of current exhibits and installing new teaching elements focused on a sustainable future for the Treasure Valley. Join us!

Mission Statement:

Boise WaterShed Exhibits, Inc. educates the public about water quality and quantity; wastewater treatment; and promotes citizen stewardship of our natural resources by securing funding for exhibits and programs at the Boise WaterShed Environmental Education Center.
