Dan Snow is dry stone artist specializing in site-generated, or locally sourced, natural materials. His dry stone constructions have included pillars, staircases and arch bridges along with more complex creations such as garden follies, and grottoes, as well as environmental art pieces. He has authored two books that tell the story of our heritage in stone and his personal journey in the art and craft of walling. He lives in Vermont.
Dan has been contracted by the City of Boise to complete design work for an amphitheater proposed for the WaterShed’s new River Campus. In a workshop this month, Mr Snow organized a group to test build a wall, teaching his dry stone techniques. The wall will become an entrance into the STEM Discovery Play area, also planned for the River Campus.
